Explore the great Pyramids of Giza, Cheops being one of the ancient seven wonders of the world and then on to the spectacular Sphinx, which was built in 2620 BC. Enjoy a trip to the earliest pyramid built by ancient Egyptians, the step pyramid of Saqqara. Also explore the ancient capital of Memphis, founded in 3100 BC during the first dynasty.
Enjoy a visit to the Egyptian museum that holds the world's greatest collection of Egypt's monuments including Tutankhamun's elaborate sarcophagus, examples of treasures buried with the Pharaohs, and the optional visit to the mummies room. Then you will explore the ancient citadel of Salah El Din with its magnificent medieval architecture as well as Mohamed Ali Mosque. Following this memorable visit you will have the chance to roam the streets of the ancient market of Khan El Khalili and to explore old Cairo.
Prepare to travel through time as you take the air plane to fly to Luxor. On arrival at Luxor airport, you will be met, assisted, and transferred to your Nile cruise. After the check-in you will begin the enjoyable experience of having the sacred Nile as your home. After lunch, you will be visiting the East Bank, the marvellous Karnak and Luxor. Then you will enjoy dinner on board.
You will feel part of history as you visit the impressive Valley of the Kings, the spectacular temple of Hatshepsut, as well and the gigantic Colossi of Memnon statues. You will then be transferred back on board to enjoy the sunset while sailing to Esna, sail on to Edfu and settle in for overnight.
Morning visits to explore the gigantic High Dam and the magical romantic temple of Philae. Later on enjoy a felucca sail to the Botanical gardens on Kitchener island, filled with exotic plants imported from all over the world. Enjoy an unforgettable dinner on deck under the magical moonlight.
After visiting Upper Egypt, there will be time to visit the Pearl of the Mediterranean, Alex, located 220 kilometres north west of Cairo. You will explore the treasures of the Greco Roman museum, the ancient cemetery of Catacombs as well as Pompei's Pillar, and at the end of this tour you will visit the famous Montaza gardens facing the Mediterranean Sea. Drive back to Cairo to spend the last night in the city that never sleeps.
